The VOICE Supervision School was established in 2005 to assist
4-year trained Australian and International university psychology
graduates to meet Australian Board requirements for full
Registration (i.e. 4+2 internship program).
As with most health-related industries, new graduates in psychology
are required to complete two years of supervision under the
direction of an accredited and experienced psychologist to ensure a
competent, quality and ethical service to the general public. For
more details on Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) requirements,
contact the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
(AHPRA).
All VOICE supervisors are STAP accredited and have
at least 10 years experience in clinical, counselling,
organisational, rehabilitation and health psychology. The VOICE
Supervision School Director holds a PhD in Psychological
Supervision and has extensive experience in clinical and
counselling practice as well as professional
supervision.
Depending upon eligibility and availability, the VOICE Supervision
School offers the following fee-based services to provisional
psychologists:
VOICE understands that each provisional psychologist will have
specific requirements depending upon their circumstances and as
such, programs can be tailored to suit your needs.
The VOICE Supervision School complies with the PBA requirements in
addition to the Australian Psychological Society's (APS) Code of
Ethics.
Entry to the VOICE Supervision School is highly competitive and all
interested applicants are required to complete an application form,
provide an updated resume with two professional referees, in
addition to attending a panel interview. If you would like to learn
more about the School including fees, please email supervision@alliedvoice.com.au
or phone VOICE on 1300 469 675.
The School prides itself on providing a professional service and
will only recruit provisional psychologists who present with a
positive, professional and proactive attitude.
Testimonials
"I confidently recommend the VOICE supervision school
under the direction of Dr. Karla Johnston as a clinical supervisor
because I have received quality supervision, ongoing clinical
support and access to relevant professional development through the
program. The VOICE Supervision School has a thorough understanding
of the Psychologists Board of QLD's requirements and their
continual commitment towards professional development has enabled
me to receive the most current information regarding clinical
practice. Furthermore, the structured approach for meeting core
competencies provided a clear framework for me to complete all my
assessments within a timely manner. I felt that the supervisors had
a personal investment in my learning as they always prioritised
supervision and consistently upheld their commitment to our
meetings."
Connie Penhallurick - Psychologist
"The Supervision I have had from VOICE is fantastic. Their
supervisors are experienced in providing supervision, as well as in
clinical practice as Psychologists. I have found my supervisor to
be approachable, open and supportive, but also able to challenge me
to develop my skills and knowledge to assist me to become a better
Psychologist."
